Sen. Edward Kennedy has malignant brain tumor
May 20, 2008 - 2:23pm
By GLEN JOHNSON
Associated Press Writer
BOSTON (AP) - A cancerous brain tumor caused the seizure Sen. Edward
M. Kennedy suffered over the weekend, doctors said Tuesday in a grim
diagnosis for one of American politics' most enduring figures. "He
remains in good spirits and full of energy," the doctors for the 76-
year-old Massachusetts Democrat said in a statement.
They said tests conducted after the seizure showed a tumor in
Kennedy's left parietal lobe. Preliminary results from a biopsy of the
brain identified the cause of the seizure as a malignant glioma, they
said.
His treatment will be decided after more tests but the usual course
includes combinations of radiation and chemotherapy.
Kennedy has been hospitalized in Boston since Saturday, when he was
airlifted from Cape Cod after a seizure at his home.

For my sister it was going the hard way. She was alright on an
August 1st a couple of years ago, complained about some headaches
and she was diagnosed with not one but several brain tumors.
The terrible headaches became worse and worse and she was dead by the
end of the month.
So for Ted or whom ever, I don't think about anything else.

Would you care to elaborate? This must be a fairly obscure fact...

Impossible given that he has not been part of the executive branch of
the US Government.

I don't think so. He had a good many other sins to his discredit. In fact,
I truly believe that it has nothing to do with sin, or God's punishment. It
is merely old age catching up. As one of my cousins says, "I hate old age."
She is suffering from assorted aches, pains, miseries, ailments of unknown
origin (sometimes when you have these, they will get well all by themselves
even when you are old, or won't hopelessly damage you, and are best left
alone). She believes old age is a punishment all by itself. There are some
days that I agree with her. Most days not.

Internationally, Bush and Cheney have ruined the reputation of America.
The Kennedy name still has some aura to it and did not damage
that reputation, enhancing it.

What about "The Kennedys - The Next Generation"?
(How about learning to snip, Mike?)
