Planned Parenthood -- 'the LensCrafters of family planning'?
Jim Brown - OneNewsNow - 7/19/2008 4:00:00 AM
A Minnesota conservative is calling for an end to the tax-exempt status and
public financing of the country's largest abortion provider, Planned
Parenthood.
According to Planned Parenthood's latest annual report, the organization
received more than $1 billion from revenues -- nearly one-third of that
figure came from "government grants and contracts." In light of that report,
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota) became outraged when she
learned of Planned Parenthood's new branding effort in her Minnesota
district. She says the new strategy is a move away from helping poor women
with family planning, and instead involves targeting latte-drinking,
affluent women across America. But Bachmann claims Planned Parenthood has
always been about big business.

North Carolina Bishops: Oppose School "Bullying Bill" which Includes Sexual
Orientation
By Tim Waggoner
Raleigh, NC, July 17, 2008 ( LifeSiteNews.com) - Bishop Peter J. Jugis of
Charlotte and Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of Raleigh, who recently founded
Catholic Voice NC, an organization created to give the state's Catholics a
greater voice in the political process, have invoked North Carolinians to
support the Senate version of a "bullying bill" - but not the House version.
In a letter posted on the Catholic Voice website, the bishops affirmed that
they support the Senate version of the School Violence Protection Act,
because it "protects all children under the law without raising any group to
a special status."
The House version of the bill, however, would give "special enumerations in
the areas of sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, in effect
giving this group the same legally protected status as race, religion,
natural origin, etc."

Pope to World Youth Day: "The Womb - Has Become A Place of Unutterable
Violence"
By John-Henry Westen
SYDNEY, July 17, 2008 ( LifeSiteNews.com) - In his address to the hundreds of
thousands of youth who welcomed him at Barangaroo, Sydney Harbour today,
Pope Benedict XVI issued one of the strongest challenges he has yet made to
work for the right to life of unborn children. "How can it be that the most
wondrous and sacred human space - the womb - has become a place of
unutterable violence?" he said.
During his address to the young people, the Holy Father remarked on the
natural beauty of Australia, leading into a short discourse on the need to
be good stewards of the environment - an issue the younger generations have
vigorously been schooled in. The Pope then turned his greater attention to
the "social environment," urging the youth to care for this environment,
which is created by man and which the Pope noted is "the apex of God's
creation."

New evidence that Diebold fixed the GA Senate race in '02!
by Larisa Alexandrovna and Muriel Kane Page 1 of 1 page(s)
http://www.opednews.com
And the DoJ, confronted with the evidence, looked the other way.
This makes three witnesses to Diebold's perfidy--i.e., the secret
placement of an
illegal software patch on the e-voting machines in two largely Democratic
counties, in order to "defeat" Sen. Max Cleland's bid for re-election.
The first was Diebold employee Rob Behler, who told his story to
BlackBoxVoting,
then on Nightline and in an article by Ronnie Dugger for The Nation,
before he vanished down the memory hole.
Then there was Diebold employee Chris Hood, who told the story to Robert
F. Kennedy, Jr., for the latter's major piece in Rolling Stone that came
out just before the 2006 elections. (Bobby's piece is included in Loser
Take All.)
And now this--confirmation, and more detail, from whistle-blower Stephen
Spoonamore, who's helping out with the historic RICO lawsuit that was
announced just yesterday.
