Indeed. Few people seem to be aware just how much we depend on oil for
just about *everything*. If you look around you in the average modern
environment, nearly everything is made from oil, from the coatings
applied to furniture, the paint on the walls, all the plastic stuff
everywhere, clothes, shoes etc., never mind all the heating and fuel.
Up until now, it has been provided pretty well free, it just flows out
of the ground. The true cost is much, much more.

Heh. They had a similar event in London (google for it), less risk of
