If you vote in old Oven Chips and that mad woman, then all suspicions
will be confirmed.

I truly believe that, if Obama wins, the Powers That Be will start in
on him big time, dirty tricks and all. Just wait and see.

Heh. I heard that on the radio the other day. Interesting, but somehow
scary.

IWHT the chances of assassination would go through the roof ... I'm
recalling that Robin Williams line, where he says "if America ever does
get a black president, he'll have to give all his press conferences
while running from side to side, in order to present a moving target".

I agree. I just don't think the US is ready to elect a coloured, black,
non white (whatever you like to call him) president. I suspect that a
great many people will say that the colour of his skin does not matter,
but when they come to tick the box ...

Having said that, what is likely to happen first - a black US president
or black UK prime minister? Probably the latter?

I suppose the US could surprise us all one day, by electing a black
woman president :-)

It will all come down to which side can gather the most voters -- idealistic
young people voting for the first time vs right-wing evangelical nut jobs.

while i am leaning in the liberal direction, i do wish both candidates would
stop smearing each other and actually give me some idea as to how they are
going to cure the problems in this country.
