LOL....Guess it must be a local thing. ;-)

Around here 'pizza sauce' is the red goop that is on pizzas along with the
cheese and then the additional 'toppings' are scattered over the top.

It's not just plain old tomato sauce or ketchup as it has herbs of some sort and
in some cases spices too. Every pizza place in town (and there are several)
seems to have their own recipe and each is very different.

Probably...lol...although I was eating gammon and pineapple in the UK long
before I moved to Cananananada. My Canadian wife had never even heard of gammon
and pineapple before she met me and we can't even buy gammon locally, in fact I
am not sure if that cut is even available over here as traditional English 'back
bacon' is not available either. What they call 'back bacon' here is twice as
thick as gammon and covered in corn meal for some weird reason. :-(
