Wow! Historians had secret accurate timepieces so much earlier than was
generally accepted. The execution was actually on the 6th July. He was 57.
Famous for his coined word 'Utopia'.

In 1935, four hundred years after his death, Pope Pius XI canonized him as
Saint Thomas More in the Roman Catholic Church;

More was declared Patron Saint of politicians and statesmen by Pope John
Paul II in 1980.
