Ever seen or been on a submarine?

I've talked a lot about Crimson Tide. My favorite film when I was a
youngster was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

One of the experiences I had still sends shivers down my spine.

We were vacationing in Virginia Beach near Norfolk where the USN has a
base.

We took a fishing boat, which went about thirty to forty miles off
shore. Nothing but water.

Suddenly, off the port side, about 200 yards from our boat, a nuclear
sub emerged in front of our eyes. T'was a magnificent site.

A behemoth, I can assure you!
