Madco's [1] Movie of the Week

[1] Formerly, "Bazco".

Maybe a bit of an oldie, but *Passion in the Desert* - about a French
legionnaire in the late 19th century who gets stranded in the Egyptian
desert and who befriends a leopard. Their relationship becomes quite
amazing, and it's a bit of a tear-jerker.

Based on a short story by Honore de Balzac.

Well, you're all in a chatty mood these days. Cat got your tongues?

Here's a film that I first saw at Charleston Air Force Base in 1967 or
'68.

*The Family Way* produced by Roy Boulting, I think, who eventually
married Walt Disney's Virgin Queen - Hayley Mills - who stars in the
movie with her dad, Sir John.

The one and only, "Wilfred Pickles" plays her Uncle Fred, andt it was
filmed in Bolton, Lancashire - near where I was born and my mother's
maiden name. That's Bolton, not Lancashire.

The story concerns the trials and tribulations of newlyweds, oh, and
by the way bum lovers, there is an excellent, lengthy shot of Hayley's
tush.

Walt has turned over in his grave.

Great flick, ordered it from Amazon, UK, for a few quid; PAL format,
so you need a multi-regional DVD player.
