Well, you are a bit of an old fart (same age as me, I think) and old
farts can get away with a lot. My MiL's partner (her 86 or 88 year old
toy boy) was in the RN during WWII, learnt a few choice expressions
and doesn't understand pc. He also has a brilliant understanding of
when to be deaf. "What's that, old boy? Didn't hear you." He goes to
the gym and rides an exercise bike for an hour or so three or four
times a week. We discovered that the exercise bikes are set up at the
back of the room where the young, fit chicks do their aerobics.
"Inspiring, old boy. All that bending over reminds me of the Navy."
