Need a Recipe - Dense Dark Brown Date Loaf in 9.5x5 Loaf Pan

I have looked all over for this Date Loaf my Aunt used to make for every Xmas. It is very moist and almost like a Quick bread loaf(may be for all I know). It may have molasses in it or brown sugar. It may ... loaves on the internet recipe sites but none seem to be dense enough. It is a very heavy loaf.(like fruit cake. I like slices with coffee. TIA
