I didn't get a FEB!

Last weekend (well Thursday evening through Sunday evening), I had the good
fortune to be sailing in one of these from Plymouth:

One of my fellow matelots decided that on this occasion, he would be the
chef producing all the breakfasts. All were enjoyed but there was not a FEB!
Hmm!
The last morning, Sunday, he produced the most sublime flaked smoked salmon
scrambled egg; the proportionate mix between the salmon and ouefs was just
right for me and the consistency was wonderful. 'Twill be a repast that I
will recall in future years!

But no FEB, (or kippers)! (:

For the sailors and Landlubbers on this side of The Pond who experienced
fine weather in Britain, we had a downpour on Thursday night and sea mists
for most of the weekend! It only became bright at the time of the start of
the Single-handed Transat.

Is Molesy gearing up for one of these?

No, never been in rain at all - but mist in the early (5am) morning -
ghosting out to the Gulf downriver with mist all around - visibility
about 20'. Wonderful feeling - total silence and seeing the wraiths of
mist wrapping around the shore and showing more and more of the bank as
we drifted along - magic!

I am however, developing a new product: A 'no-see-um'(1) net that can be
attached via popstuds around the entire bimini and down to the deck.
It's heat and bugs we have to watch for!

:-)

I didn't complain. Under the light wind conditions, it did what it should
and apart from a minor glitch in the design, it did well.

At the end of the month I shall be sailing a similar one from Portsmouth to
Cherbourg on to the Channel Islands and back to Plymouth. No, you read that
right! So I shall have to get back to Portsmouth to collect the car!
