Czech, but since 1991 under the wing of the VW/Audi (VAG) group. Used to
be a bit of a joke, then VAG took them over, now their build quality
exceeds (IMHO) VAG's, but at a much lower cost. Ditto Seat (Spanish),
although I don't like them as much, and because of some perceived
greater cachet for the Spanish brand (god knows why), Seat don't seem
quite as well priced.
