Way to go Lotus! It even looks like it has a big smile on its face.
No kidding, greener driving, I'm all for it--weight reduction, using natural
fibers, etc.
I also read that Mercedes-Benz plans to ditch petroleum-powered vehicles
from its lineup in about 7 years ...focusing on electric, fuel cell, and
biofuels.
I've been thinking about trading my car in for a Toyota Prius...

Don't bother - they're crap.
And I read a while back that they use more harmful resources to build
than they ever "save" in use. So much of the "green" argument is
rubbish.

No. It. Isn't.
It's a sack of shit.
I drove one late last year and was *staggered* as to just how truly
awful it was.
There are people who buy them through *choice* too :(

"70" *snort* Waitaminnit.
There were somefolx who claimed to get 100 mpg in their Prius. Except
after that it died. Turned out that they had simply turned off the
gasoline assist and had run their battery into the ground.
The general impression is that the Toyota Pious (misspelling
intentional) actually gets something like 43 mpg. Which is something
less than the Mini that SimonP had as a child.

What's a stimulus check? Some kind of tax rebate?
