My son and I were out this afternoon delivering leaflets and came back
ravenous. Not having any ravens, we went in search of bread and found
none. Nor was there any flour in the house, the person responsible for
re-stocking (me) having forgotten it. The shops were shut, what was to
be done? Up pops my supervisor and reminds me that we still have the
packet of garlic and rosemary focaccia bread mix that she'd bought on
one of her rare forays into Tesco's, which I had sneered at and
derided and banished to the back of the larder. It was still in date
and so I decided to give it a try.
A mere hour and a half later, after we had gorged ourselves on tea and
McVities Digestives, out it came. It turned out much nicer than the
focaccia bread that I usually make myself. I am suitably chastened
(as well as being well-fed).

I've had your flapjack. Very, very nice, if you will allow me to say.
