Sorry - have been astonishingly dull and haven't had anything to say
that would do other than send folks to sleep.

On a positive note... full butter shortbread is yum! :)

Two things that even I, the quintessential non-cook, refuse to pay
stupid money for are:

1) Really truly shortbread It's not that difficult to make.

2) Really truly baclava. I had a Syrian friend. She showed me how to
make it. It's not that difficult to make.

Odd the non-cook but can engineer shortbread or baclava

What's this? I go away for a few days' sunshine in Portugal and when
I come back, everybody's stopped posting. The Blueyonder news server
seems to have given up and there are no new posts since 15th Jan., and
the German one, datemas.de, has only a few after that.

Is it something I said?

I got on last night, and the only post I saw had been cancelled by my
swerver. Other groups I read are showing up ok, maybe the caff was closed
for cleaning or something.

I think there may have been a gas leak.. something certainly smelt
peculiar last time I was in anyway.. though that could've been the
lentil curry from the previous night..
