Make sure you get *fresh* turmeric root. Grating the dried stuff will
frusrate you.

It was really good today as leftovers.

Sounds wonderful. Sadly, veal has a bad rep in the UK, due to ignorance
of how it's raised these days (compared to the bad old methods), whereas
in Aus most people know that it's just young, milk-fed cattle. As a
result, getting hold of decent veal can be a real mission.

Agree, but I discovered these chaps (well, to be honest a friend in the
catering trade put me on to them).

Fair comment. But bloody hell! I wouldn't know whether to cook it or
have it framed :) Still, the mince would make a superb bolognese, with
beef and pork mince.

On the "good VFM" front, my "Forest Of Dean Lamb Contact" has informed
me that she can get me, from the glorious 14th onwards (that's the date
isn't it?), pheasants for £2 each, so I think I'm going to be eating a
*lot* of pheasant shortly :)
