I took my parents to see The Queen this afternoon. We frightened a
little mouse under her chair OC.
No
It was a really well done flim IMHO and I think Helen Mirren will win
the naked gold statue for her portrayal . I also thought the bloke who
played Tone Blur was good. I bet the real Tone liked it. Makes him
look like a hero. His wife, OTOH , comes off as a huge bitch but
perhaps that's the case?

For super, ultra-daft, try "Evil Aliens".
Just don't get your hopes up much.

Indeed. There are some who think that it is she who has put pressure
on him to stop being Prime Minister so that she can continue her
career as a judge. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of
course, but she's still a huge bitch.

At first I thought you meant tone's wife was an Evil Alien but I read
it a few times.

Never heard of it but will have a look.

We really enjoyed "The Queen", Helen Mirren was superb and thoroughly
deserving of the Oscar nomination.

Saw that too, wasn't quite so impressed.
We also saw "Babel", which was a difficult one to get into because of
its structure and the slightly disconcerting chronological
discontinuity - by which I mean that there are four story-lines going
on at once but they are related neither simultaneously nor serially.
Thought-provoking, but I'd only give it 7 out of 10.
