Another Adrian Mole/Margaret Thatcher question.

In the diary of Margaret Hilda Roberts (one of the most
hilarious things I have ever read) in the 3rd Adrian Mole book,
there is a prophesy, in which the gypsy tells the future Mrs.
Thatcher that:

"you will marry a small bald man (...) with two babies from one
egg. (...) t'other will be a he child and will grow to be a
monster. He will bear the name of a European Currency (...) and
(...) after (...) wandering a desert he will destroy your
career. For, and this is the curse, you will love this monster
blindly /and will see no wrong in him/."

The last time I was in Great Britain was 1969. I have never
understood this part of the prophesy. Just the monster part - I
would assume the small bald man is the man named Thatcher who
Miss Roberts married although I have never seen a photo of him.

Is someone able to explain? (Hoping for better luck than with
the "five dwarves in a bed" affair ;-)

Thanks.
