I've got another problem. I cannot fathom what's going here so if
anyone has any ideas I would be most grateful.

We have a wireless router. Up until now it's been working fine.
Still seems to be in that I can connect no problem with my pooter, but
when Mr Lisa tries to connect a connection is made for a few seconds,
then it's dropped. When he tries to make a connection our router
isn't even detected though all of our neighbours routers are in the
list of detected networks! !!! WTF!

He's using a PCMCIA wifi card (mine came with an internal one) if that
makes any difference.

Does anybody have any ideas why the router should be detected when he
first boots up then is dropped quickly and not even detected? I'm at
a loss.

In Santa Esmerelda's *Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood* there were two
versions, right?

It was in a repeat of a third stanza, eh, near the beginning?

I was just settling in to read 2eggs when TV said Texas is sending rotation
clouds up my way. Tornadoes! Grapefruit sized hail! Can you imagine!

I hear the booming thunder already, so it's time to unplug, grab my purse
and chocolate and hide in the hall closet. See ya later...I hope.

  A beautiful haunting song

....about the life and death of a Maple tree that was made into a
violin/fiddle.

http://tinyurl.com/52meqr (sound file)

The Maple's Lament

When I was alive the birds would nest upon my boughs
And all through long winter nights the storms would 'round me howl
And when the day would come, I'd raise my branches to the sun
I was the child of earth and sky, and all the world was one

But now that I am dead the birds no longer sing in me
And I feel no more the wind and rain as when I was a tree
But bound so tight in wire strings, I have no room to grow
And I am but the slave who sings, when master draws the bow

But sometimes from my memory I can sing the birds in flight
And I can sing of sweet dark earth and endless starry nights
But oh, my favorite song of all, I truly do believe
Is the song the sunlight sang to me while dancing on my leaves

Laurie Lewis (American bluegrass music, but sounds Celtic innit)

A Question About a Quiz Night

I don't know how many people know this in here, but I am a bit of a
bell ringer. Still only learning really, but improving all the time.
Anyway, our local bells having recently been refurbished and retuned
at a cost of thousand pounds or so, we did all sorts of fund
raising and are more or less out of debt now. Last year, we did a Quiz
and Pie Supper sort of night in the church hall (actually, our pie
suppers are much better than that, having several choices of first
course and trifle or fruit pie to follow. Guess who was Quiz Master
and question setter? Yep, it was me, and my daughter played the role
of my glamorous assistant and marked up the scores on the whiteboard.
It was such a success that all the bell ringers agreed to do another
one this year, in aid of general funds for the...

If you can get ahold of some hydroxyzine (25mg) tablets.

First generation of anti-histamines - should be easy to find.

*Absolutely* relieves itching, etc. Only problem is that you'll sleep
like a baby, too.
