I'm new to video editing. I'm using Premiere 6.0. My computer is an HP pavillion 775e. It's about 4 years old. I have an Athlon XP2800 processor @2.08g. I have increased my ram from 256k to 1g. I have a 60g hard drive which shows I have approx. 45g left. I have a Nvidia GeForce 4 mx440 video card. I have increased my virtual memory to 2048/4096 per advice from HP. MAY have been a mistake... go back to the main page and, near the top, click the link the Moderator created which goes to my Adobe notes, and then click the link for my 1st editing computer

I had some model of nVidia card, and found that ONE AND ONLY ONE version of their device driver would work properly... earlier and no joy and also later and no joy (no, I have no idea which version, that computer is long gone)

All device driver updates (all software!) are a "crapshoot" when it comes to upgrades... fix 3 things and break something else is the "usual" result

Also, while at my main page of notes, click on the Optimize link and then check the information... especially the link to the VideoGuys pages
