I have a TextFrame with content that is different depending on the situation. So after I set the TextFrame content, I want to fit the frame to the content but only horizontally.
It's easy to do it in the InDesign UI (double click on a left or right side guide of the frame).
But how can I implement this functionality in IDS?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Has anyone ever seen this error from IDS before?
No translation of key 'Apply Text Style' to English string
I got into some sort of infinite loop and the console just kept printing that line.

Hi all,
I'm trying to use InDesign Server CS3 in a Microsoft IIS 6 .NET environment on Windows Server 2003.
Here's what happens when I try to instantiate InDesign Server:
ERROR: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {296CAEB5-C99C-4B3E-9359-6E7D6EAE71FC} failed due to the following error: 80040154.
If you look up 80040154, it's a DLL registration problem. But if I try to use regsrvr32 to register the Interop, I get this message:
"...\Interop.InDesignServer.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file can not be registered."
I know InDesign Server is installed and running on this server, because I can run exactly the same source code in a standalone VB.net application, and it works fine. It's only inside IIS that it fails.
Any thoughts? I'd love to get this working someday.
Thanks,
Chuck

Hello forum,
I have a big problem with the speed of Indesign Server, when i try to access a Network path.
The Server is running and gets a script via SOAP and everything is working well, except the speed. Within the script i open a document, which is placed in a network folder :
(Command: doc = app.open("\\\\server-ip\\path\\file.indt");
This process lasts almost 10 seconds, and after that, everthing runs fast.
When i place the file on the local machine, the script runs in less then a second.
It is only slow at the first time i access the network path (within the one script), i.e. when i place a file from the network with 'doc.place()' after the opening, it is fast.
I use Windows Server 2003 32bit, Indesign Server CS3,
and the files are on a SuseLinux 10.1 with Samba.
help would be welcome
greets
Michael Rupp

Any idea how I can add the CS2 js references so I can get Visual studios to give me intellisense for writing the Javascript scripts?
Chris.

Is it possible to open/import a psd document, and manipulate the layers of the document?
Chris.
