I use it to keep in contact with my extended family. It is very sociable and
you can control who you wish to exchange photos and other stuff with. You
can post photo albums so that your friends can view them. There are some
rather arcane features but they are all voluntary. I have my grandchildren
on there and I feel quite safe about them.

There are twelve million sheep in Ontario.
Problem is nine million of them think they are people.

Its funny really. As one gets older, having internet access seems one of the
ways to really stay in touch with the big wide world. I know people who are
getting on who have the money but can't be bothered to buy a computer, let
alone have internet access. They don't seem to realise what they can do with
this facility, and how it would enhance their lives. They are content to
slide downhill to the Day of Judgement, accepting their own appraisal that
life is all over for them. I believe older people should realise that the
internet really is a barrier to premature senility.

Not to mention it gives them something to do in the wee hours of the morning
when they can't sleep... eh, Derek? :-)
Just in from a wee bit of weeding, myself..... ah, the smell of spring is
everywhere...

Couldn't agree with you more. The only one I can think of in my extended
family who does not have a PC is my 76 year old sister. She does get all the
news though through my niece, her daughter.

I'm utterly rubbish at both. There is no hope for me.
