..And he may have the well-deserved single malt along with it as far as
I am concerned.

..He is getting better by the week - how does he do it?
I have got a few ideas: he listens to his listeners-in, takes them
seriously, and from time to time he also plays requests. Well, that is
what most djs do, innit? Well, no. He knows when to shut up in-between
titles. He doesn't talk into the start of a song, and he usually doesn't
cut a good song short unless time runs out. And he is wayyy relaxed.
With all the excitement about these days I like a good resort where not
everything is timed to a split second.

BTW - do you fink Gary will know us in a years's time when he will be
famous and prsesenting Channel Five's new show "Pop Off The Tops" -
smoking huge cigars and wearing huge Dollar-signs in gold on a chain
around his neck?
;-P

EggZACKerly! It's all about the music. Gary never puts his personality
before the music, but in so doing he puts himslef ahead of other DJs on more
widely-broadcast stations. However, I've noticed that it's the same with
other presenters on Skyline FM. Maybe community radio attracts music lovers
who just want to entertain people rather than forcing their celebrity on the
audience.

LOL! Dave Lee Travis was Uschi Nerke's sidekick here with the very
successful "Beatclub" in the 60ies to the late 70ies - he was British
and had just finished a career as a pirate station hero.

Do you fink community radio could do with the occasional appearance of
let us say a German native speaker who tries to speak English?
;-)
