OK Enzo, you asked who wrote 'A day in the death' the episode that I rated
so highly, well it was Joseph Lidstor. I've never heard of him but I still
reckon it's a good 50 mins of TV, but then I thought 'Dead man walking'
was pretty good. Shame that Martha Jones has left the series.

I've never heard of him either, but in the case of "Torchwood" that's a good
thing. Torchwood episodes are usually written by Chris Chibnall or Catherine
Tregenna, both of whom seem to have bought heavily into RTD's gay agenda for
the show.

Chris Chibnall was creator and chief writer of the heartwarming family
comedy-drama "Born and Bred". He also wrote two episodes of "Life On
Mars", one of "Doctor Who" as well as eight of "Torchwood".

And it looks like he will be the main writer on the forthcoming "Law &
Order: London"

Dead Man Walking - the previous episode - was written by Matt Jones. So
that's *another* name to add to the list of writers

And the first of the Martha Jones ones, called 'Reset' was written by R.C.
Willsher.

They were better than the usual run of the mill TW episodes. And they
drastically cut down on the gayness. I don't mind gay characters on telly,
but II'm not too keen on gratuitous and inappropriate sex - whether gay or
straight.

Must say the 'A Day in the Death' - the third bit - made me think a bit
about life and death. Not what I expect from that sort of programme.
Having missed the first 15 mins, I thought I'd watch *that* then
stayed to the end. Wish I'd seen the first part now, but then I suppose it
*will* be repeated. Eventually.

Indeed! I think there must be *two* Torchwoods! ;-)
