Be-bop Deluxe was basically a vehicle for guitarist and vocalist Bill
Nelson. The drummer was a chap called Charlie Tumahai. After BBDL split, he
formed a band called Tandoori Cassette (Honest! I'm not making this up).

Tandoori Cassette were the support band for Wild Horses on their first (and
only) tour. Wild Horses had Brian Robertson (ex Thin Lizzy), Jimmy Bain (ex
Rainbow), Neil Carter (later of UFO) and Frank Noon (ex Def Leppard).

I saw the tour at Manchester Poly Students' Union in late 1979. Towards the
end of the Wild Horses set, members of Tandoori Cassette wandered onstage
and the whole thing ended up as one great big jam session. It was excellent.

It was also the cause of just about the worst hangover that I have ever had
in my life!
