I see Pattie Boyd/Harrison/Clapton has written an autobiography, "Wonderful
Today", and it probably would be very interesting if one had any curiosity
left about the angst and anguish of rock stars, which I doubt I have... but
it brought to mind that for a few weeks of my pimply adolescence in the
sixties she was The Woman I Most Wanted To Be Like.
Prior to that, it was Audrey Hepburn.

Must say, I *never* wanted to be Pattie Boyd.
One wonders what there is to say after all this time. More celebrity pap.

I personally believe that this sort of stuff is best done by an outsider
looking in, rather than one of the main players. Not nice when it's kiss
and tell stuff.

I think the most disappointing aspect of this book, and indeed a personal
let down for me, is the fact that after Clapton came off heroin, he resorted
to alcohol being his drug of choice. Well, nothing apparently wrong with
that. However, where most rock stars would be more than willing to keep up
their street cred with copious amounts of Jack Daniels or several bottles of
vodka a day, what does Clapton have as his favourite morning, afternoon and
evening tipple?
I can barely bring myself to mention it...........
Brandy and lemonade!!........ I ask you. What sort of wimpish drink is that
for a rock star.......?......What a bringdown!
