Non-musical technical question that's been bugging me for about an hour?

Right REnzo, here goes. It's actually two questions. Why Delta Wing? And.
Why not Delta wing?

Some of the best looking airplanes have been delta. I cite Concord and
Vulcan as two of the best, but tell me, apart from the looks of the
beasts, what is the advantage of delta wing and why, if it's any good,
isn't used more?

Not a matter of moments. It's a very complex subject so it will require a
lot of typage.
