It was. The Beatles put Across the Universe on it as a sop to Kenny
Everett. He'd found some discarded tape in a bin in the EMI studios and
took it to the BBC where he and some tech guys straightened it out enough
to go through a tape machine. Ken played it on air and caused a storm
amongst fans (like me). Even just the few seconds of the song that he had
sounded great. He kept playing it till the Beatles agreed to release it.
They chose to give it to the WWW and millions of us would have bought the
album just for that track. The Hollies track was a surprise brilliant
bonus.

The rest of the album was pants.
