That's the trouble with today's youth. No musical taste, everything sounds
the same, you can't hear the words, or when you can you don't want to.
The above is part of the "Old Fart's Charter". Welcome to fartism, Enzo.
I don't like Kate Nash or Lily Allen, who sound the same to me, but I can
see there's something there, and the singles I've heard do seem to be
telling a story, rather than "love you yeah".. Kate Rusby comes from the
hard core folk tradition and is very different to the others you mention,
though you've probably only heard her singing that Kinks song off the
telly.. CB Rae is different again, and quite good to my ears, but not to my
taste.
Remember that kids music is supposed to be disliked by adults, and that
always in the misdst of all those disliked songs the are quite a few good
ones that will stand the test of time. Also remember that anything's better
than Elton John.
