I am making a double batch of chocolate chip cookies.. which contains two
different kinds of chips and pecans. They come out big and soft. My son
takes a dozen to work so his co-workers can fight over them...it sure makes
my ego feel good.

I've had a very satisfying afternoon. I've been applying decals to two
model aeroplanes that I'm building (long job - there are hundreds of tiny
stencils so it could take days). And I've baked some bread. Tomorrow I will
be baking cakes.

I wear the cheese. It does not wear me.

Plans were to clean windows for Karen, Ingrid, Sheila and Freda. Watch the
semi final and go fetch my Triumph from the menders.

Well, I did K, I, S, but in between, I picked up three new clients so
didn't have time to do F cos as it was I only saw the second half but that
was fine cos Pompey scored.

Got the bike back from the menders and went for a ride in the sunshine but
inadvertently found out how painful hailstones are when you're doing
seventy. Anyway, the bike is fine and I watched the Grand National. My
pick came fourth so it's perfect that I never backed it with anything more
than my opinion. TFW, on the other hand, picked Comply or Die and is now
wishing that she'd bet the house on it, rather than just *her* opinion.

Saints won two nil (against all expectations) and eased their way out of
the relegation places and the first episode of the new series of Doctor
Who was silly but very entertaining.

Followed that by watching Torchwood on the iPlayer - why will it only work
on this laptop so that I'm forced to lay on this bed to watch it? - which
was silly but very entertaining.

Saints almost always win. And usually by far more than two points.

But then, I spose we're talking about differents Saints!

It was *awful* ! The bad guy was Raquel from Coronation Street and the
monsters were miniature grey tellytubbies. What is the scariest thing that
they could do? Well, they could give you a jolly good waving at, that's for
sure. And, if they really wanted to be threatening, they could put a sock
over their heads and pretend to be a Clanger.
