But Gary, this was the latest money making scheme from the Beeb. Now that
they aren't allowed to do peak rate phone in quizzes to fleece the licence
paying public, they now sprinkle an evening's viewing with mistakes in the
hope that the irate viewer will call in (at a pound a minute) and complain.

Nice to see that you didn't fall for it.

Now, for being such a smartass, I'll let you play 'One of these nights'
for me on Friday - either show, I listen to both. Maybe I should get out
more.

The Eagles? Don't talk to me about The Eagles. They have just stiffed the
fans - well... me at least.

I bought the new album "Long Road Out Of Eden". I listen to music on my
computer. So that I don't have to keep juggling CDs, I rip 'em all to MP3
format (well, lossless WMA acksherly) and store them on an external HD. This
is an allowed practice - it's just the same as ripping to an MP3 player -
but it turns out that this new album is copy protected and the protection is
quite stable. There's no way that *I* can break it.

It seems that if you want to listen to this album on your MP3 player, you
have to download it from the Eagles' website. Well, that won't work for me.
I'm on dial-up (we can't get broadband in my part of the country) and so it
would take literally a week to download the whole album. So, thanks for
nothing, Eagles. While not quite losing me as a fan, you've certainly
alienated me. The CD is now packaged up for return to Amazon for a refund -
as far as I'm concerned it's not fit for purpose.

And there was me thinking it was the twelve year old who wrote the autocue!

Now had you read The Times review of this 'effort' you would have, like
me, just dug out your copy of their 'Greatest Hits' and played that
instead.

So put me on a highway
And show me a sign
And take it to the limit one more time.

Did it work? Usually does for me. Five minutes at the keyboard at 2am does
what no sleeping pill has ever done.

#Well, Frankie Lee and Judas Priest
They were the best of friends
So when Frankie Lee needed more money one day
Judas quickly pulled out a roll of tens
And placed them on a footstool
Just above the plotted plain
Sayin', "Take your pick, Frankie Boy
My loss will be your gain".#

No connection. Just what's on the turntable ATM. ;-)
