I'll make some guesses and assumptions here.
I'll assume you figured the flywheel (flex plate/ring) gear because you listened
for the noise location.

Get a short piece of hose and use it as a stethescope; Hold one end to your ear
and prod around with the other end. Try putting it on the bottom of the oil pan
at the rear. I'm thinking oil pump here, as my experience with failed oil pumps
in Fords is that they are often noisy.

You really should give more info on the truck, like engine size.

I found the following link while browsing a US police website. Having
heard some really funny stories about Americans and roundabouts I felt I
had to post this.

  "Black" Screen of Death

Author: sonja

I have a big problem just now. I was using µtorrent since 3 days ago
and yesterday my daughter
connected her computer on my line. She does that lots of time and I
never had any warning from Zone Alarm. But yesterday I've got a
warning saying that a computer was trying to connect with my network.
She was already connected when I connect myself and as I always
connected first I thought that it was because her computer and clicked
on ALLOW. Since then my computer was funny (disable of junk email and
so on). Then I noticed that the IP address was not hers. Today it just
crashed and I had the blue screen of death so I decided to do a System
Restore and it failed twice. So I went on Safe
mode to do it and the computer went blank (and black). I've tried to
restart 4 times but everytime after the Windows...

Every time I want to print a page from a contact while in the net-
this time a response from Seagate- a window arises providing
the notice that there is an error on the page, do I wish to continue?
Makes no difference which I select I'm unable to print the page.

What causes this and how do I enable printing?

Surely a 1987 vehicle would have points as opposed to an electronic spark
control module?
