Out this morning, walking around some old local gravel workings. Something I haven't seen before - there were three 'rafts' of ducks. Two about 20 m apart and a third 500 m across the other side of the water. About 30 to 40 birds in each raft. Very tight together, milling around. Mainly Gadwall with a few Tufted - one raft with a seagull in the middle. Couldn't work out what was going on
