Yesterday (Wednesday 31st) there was a silver R class District Line car in West Drayton yard. No bogies, just sitting there on stilts (as far as I could see). How long has it been there? What's it doing there?

In the cab there is a buzzer that sounds if the driver tries to take power with both AC and DC power available. At the Finsbury Park end of Drayton Park there is a button to switch off the buzzer.
