Saving you all a job here, as I have found the solution myself after a bit more googling.... In the Report Server Web Config I also needed to add in after the </system.web> line this lot <appSettings> <remove key="ReportViewerMessages" /> </appSettings> and it now works, albeit using Native Report Viewer as opposed to the shinier Deep Integrated one, so if anyone happens

Has anyone managed to navigate this particluar minefield yet? According to this blog http://blogs.msdn.com/bimusings/archive/2007/02/24/how-to-use-url-access-in-reporting-services-sharepoint-integration-mode.aspx It looks like we need to somehow reference the associated Native ReportServer on the different port to SharePoint, and pass in the Sharepoint deep integrated document library

Hi Steven, Sorry but which program are you suggesting I reinstall? The problem only shows on one of the sites on my web server that does not use the Report Centre Tenplate, other ones that use the Report Center template work fine. This suggests that there is something maybe permissions or infrastructure related. I notice that I cannot activate the SharePoint Publishing Infrastructure
