You sound as if you're people to fall at the feet of your Great Divine Wisdom and worship you. Unfortunately, people who dwell in your brand of mindset are far too common these days when it comes to matters of a spiritual nature. Many of them write books and shamelessly

Cool, thanks Crowmeat, they sound like great resources. Of course I know about Mircea Eliade, but I never really read his stuff. I don't necessarily agree with your ideas about Castaneda and Harner, although I can see where you're coming from. I love Castaneda books and the Harner book is pretty cool. The thing is that shamanism is consistent with a lot of new-age beliefs and ideas, it's just
