Mil-spec is super easy. When you get into custom controls that need a bit of fitting, and setting up aftermarket target triggers it can get a bit touchy. Lots of online resources, and several books on the subject. Biggest problem I've run into is tight pin holes---the hammer and trigger ones. Some of them are REALLY snug, so I bought a reamer and give them a little clean-out.

Does anyone have this gun, or had problems like this, that # could help me fix this? I have a DPMS Panther chambered in .223. That same thing can happen when I load a newer

I am doing more or less the same thing. I bought a used AR (SP1 clone) for $550 a few months ago, sold it for $600 because I was certain I could build a new one like I wanted (now that I knew enough to know what I wanted) for less money.
