Suppose Oda Nobunaga ("Japan's Napoleon") was not assassinated by his general Akechi Mitsuhide. Would there have been an invasion of Korea? Would the Ming Empire not have been weakened by Japan and instead survived against the Manchus? Would the attitude to Europeans and modernization then have been different in China (and Japan)? Would China in that case now be communist or not? Would Tibet be independent
