A couple of recent disappointments: Mozart 36 and 36 - Belohlavek (HM). This got a rave from Dave Hurwitz and Classics Today, and I was eager to try it out. Unfortunately, these performances are beautiful, elegant, and completely spineless. The textures are dominated by the strings (and especially the violins), with the barely audible brass tooting along politely in the background. (Pace Dave
