hi ... the SQL with MIN/MAX is neat I think that the following all works too, though there may be another way to avoid that missing to -9999 conversion within SQL (Howard ... is there a better way?) you can get the MIN and MAX functions to use the observations with missing values if you get them to treat the missing values as some other number ... then, you don't have to do the conversion of
