... stuff like Mini Coopers about since the early 60s. 20 years ago? No way. 20 years ago was 1986. Just about the peak of the Hot Hatch era. The 205GTi ruled over the Escort RS turbo, XR3i, R5 turbo, Mk2 Astra GTE fighting with the Mk2 Golf GTi. The 1.9 205GTi about to be released in '87 - 130bhp in something that weighed about the same as the door on a modern EuroNCAP lardybarge....
