You likely recently installed a program that tries to load itself when a new user logs in. When the Media Center Extedner (i.e. the Xbox 360 extender) logs in, this program is trying to run, and because it cannot be run in the Media Center Extender session, it will disconnect itself. So I'd recommend you find out what program is trying to run (via your Event Viewer), so that you/we might

Can you try looking for concurrent reports in the event viewer that coincide with your error? That may tell what UI is being launched. ....The application has launched an unexpected UI!!!!!! I get this a lot actually, once I get that screen I'm completely unable to ever watch anything on Media Center, I just keep getting that irritating message over and over and over and over again. Some a reboot of the media center PC seems to help though. I really would like to know what causes this though... WHAT UI IS BEING LAUNCHED

Not long ago, I took a working FreeBSD 5.x system on my local network, (whose name is "shiny") wiped the disk clean, and then installed from scratch FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE. I then configured it as best as I could to get it to behave as much as possible like the old/prior 5.x system. Most suff mostly works as expected... the two exceptions being X (and various X clients), which I already know
