... taken by the little patch of AL (St Albans) that apparently lies just outside Bishop's Stortford as well as the fact that, unknown to many of its residents, Ware is in the HP (Hemel Hempstead) postcode area, whilst Hertford is in the CM (Chelmsford) one. SV (Stevenage) seems to have been abolished altogether! SG (Stevenage) appears fine. SV never existed, I expect. -- Abi

Acrosticus (acrosticus@aol.com) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying : SV (Stevenage) seems to have been abolished altogether! Ah, but that's a little more understandable, since SV is either a very new or a very long-discontinued postcode. Was it anywhere near SG (Stevenage)...?

The postcode stuff isn't a core part of OSM, and is going to be far harder to ... points as erroneous? Also, the data entrants should be shown the effect that each new datum has on that map before they approve it for permanent inclusion in the database.

The postcode stuff isn't a core part of OSM, and is going to be far harder to survey independently than streets themselves, which we're doing reasonably well at in some places. ...
