I've used both Artic...and Scythe Ninja Plus -- both are v. quiet, 4-pin connector so speed controllable ... have to be mounted between the cpu and the drive bays to blow towards the fan at the back of the case ... the Ninja works (with no cooling fan) though I suppose it must.

..., even the stock Intel sink is pretty quiet. I'd agree the stock Intel coolers are pretty quiet initially. However, on the same D925/mobo the Intel cooler gave an idle (BIOS) temp of 44 ... quieter. My other problem with the Intel coolers is that they block up quite quickly with a fibre mat just under the fan and then roar trying to cool the CPU -- I've cleaned a load of them. ...
