you don't want BOTH the media center computer and the extender to be wireless - performance is far better when the pc is hard wired. you should consider upgrading to a wireless router. Yes, you can create an "ad-hoc" network with just your PC and your extender. Or if you have a router, you could connect both of them, wirelessly, via the router. -- Doug Knox, MS-MVP Windows Media Center\Windows Powered Smart Display\Security Win 95/98/Me/XP Tweaks and Fixes http://www.dougknox.com -------------------------------- Per user Group Policy Restrictions for XP Home and XP

Hi rhenson, May differ between Vista and MCE2005. For MCE2005, in Windows, Start>All Programs>Accessories>Media Center>Media Center Extender Network Performance Tuner If not, you could locate it by Searching your Hard-Drive for something like "Performance Tuner" to find the Shortcut Link. Not sure of the Target's FileName. "rhenson" wrote: > I've got my PC streaming wireless

Just purchased the LinkSys DMA2100 Media Extender. Set it up (wired - not wireless) and all seems to work fine - except... When playing music the "Visualizations" do not display; in fact, the option (in the menu) for Visualize (on the extender) is not there. Is this by design? Is this a feature that will be added in a later WMC release - or is this a MS Windows issue/responsibility?
