I had WMP 11 that used to play DVDs just fine. After installing Hauppauge WinTV, Real 10, and DVDFab 5 software WMP 11 would not play an original DVD but will play mp3s. Intervideo Home Theater plays movies just fine. Hey usta, I had the exact same problem and in my case it was caused by a corrupted ac3filter.ax file. If you have ac3filter installed follow the instuctions below to fix the problem if not then it is most likely due to a diffrent codec which is corrupt. -Uninstall ac3filter from Add/Remove -In cmd unregister ax3filter.ax (regsvr32 /u ac3filter.ax) -Reboot -Delete ac3filter.ax from it's
