Method 1. Currently it appears that wmploc.dll in C:\Windows\System32 is the file causing hell for some users while using WMP 10. The solution might be rather simple, navigate to C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 and copy wmploc.dll to C:\Windows\System32. Now, run the WMP and see what you get. If incase it says windows media player is not properly installed. Reinstall windows media player

I’ve tried downloading a few codecs, some work but I want the original codecs returned back to normal. I installed directx 9 must have changed a codec or modified something to stop these videos from being played.. I have reinstalled it but it still continues
