Hi Jonathan, If you are just looking to display content from one portal site's list to another you could utilize Data Views or other 3rd Party Rollups in the current version of SharePoint, SharePoint Portal Server 2003. Please remember that MOSS is a beta product so replies may be hard to come by. My interpretation of your problem is in regards to content workflow. It is also my understanding that Windows Workflow Foundation will suit the needs of workflow within the application but you may need to incorporate BizTalk to do more enterprise Workflow across domains and applications.
