You're welcome. I think it is good to ask the question, because you may find there is some perspective held by a person with more experience in the field that can help you. I have done some work with postcodes in terms of mapping with GMap, and found it frustrating that I couldn't use the raw data to identify distances. Nice one David. I totally agree with your piece. I brought this up basically because its my first time having to merge data sets based on a Zip code, and hence transfer it from SA to Excel etc, in the process losing leading zeros. I think I am now comfortable handling all this, but like a novice who likes to minimize time wastage I came to the forum to find out if there would been readily available

Oh, also, there are both US zip codes and Canadian Postal codes in the table provided by the third party.
