What exactly are you trying to update how? The WMP installer is standalone, you can download it on one PC and burn it to a CD or even just simply use a USB memory stick to transfer it. =) -- Speaking for myself only. Browse to the files in windows explorer. Now right click on one of the actual MP3 / media files (what type of files are they, BTW ?) First of all, check out the dates for created / modified / accessed "seem reasonable". And secondly, make sure the Read Only box there is not checked, for any files which don't seem to be updating. Now try setting the media info again, and repeat the process

I am having trouble updating media info in my library. Some tracks are fine, they update with no trouble. ie album art, title, artist etc. However on some files when I try to edit the details instead of saving the new inf,o the original data is restored. At the same time if I try to use advanced tag editor I get this message when applying the updates; "Windows Media Player cannot perform

You have turned on Shuffle in media player. It should be a setting on the "Play" menu, or you can toggle that using the Ctrl+H keys. I recently updated windows media player 10 to 11, I found I was happier with 10 so I removed 11 & it rolled back to 10, almost everything works fine exept for my visualizations. This doesn't work for me. I have Windows MCE 2005 installed and all updated. Windows Media Player 11. I have a Samsung sh-s182d DVD/CD writer. I have no burning software installed other than ImgBurn which doesn't run until you actually run it and when you quit, it's out of memory.
